My Favorite Princess Dresses EVER!!!!!

Any parent of a little girl knows the struggles with Princess Dresses. So lets just list off the cons shall we... there is glitter EVERYWHERE, they are itchy, they are hot, they are expensive, washing is a pain because of well again glitter and so on.

Pros.... you have a very happy little Princess for a little bit till the cons start.

Don't get me wrong I have bought my fair share of Princess dresses and have had a happy little girl. One would say that I may even go a bit overboard due to only having only 1 girl. I was deep into planning our first family trip to Disney World and booked our little princess at Bippity Boppity Boutique and I'm not sure who was more excited my husband or myself. Then I came across a company on the internet called Wish Upon A Mommy Boutique. I looked  and read the reviews about how there was No Glitter (thank the Lord), they were cool in the heat and not itchy. My daughter can itch in a cotton t-shirt. And the prices were amazing I ended up getting 2 princess dresses for what I would have spent for 1.

We own about 4 of these dresses and every time my princess wears them to Disneyland we get asked where we bought them. They are worn all day and I do not have to worry about bringing another outfit to change into. They wash up amazing. Each of our dresses has gone thru the wash many times and it comes out looking like new. I have not even mentioned the amazing customer service I have experienced with Wish Upon A Mommy Boutique. They respond quickly, are helpful and go above and beyond for their customers.

If you are looking for a trip to Disney, a party or just because check out what Wish Upon A Mommy Boutique has to offer. Just look at that smile of a happy Princess.

The above is my own opinion and I did not get paid or given anything in return. Its just a good company with quality products.

Me Time....

Time for Mommy? I'm sorry whats that?

I said awhile ago I was going to make time for me and things that I wanted to be involved in like this blog then life happened and kids happened and well you get the idea.

How does a busy Mommy with 2 different school drop off's, dance, ice hockey, errands, picking up the house (a full time job in itself), making meals and the list goes on and on find ME TIME?

This is the question I struggle with all the time and in my 6 1/2 years of being a mommy I have yet to find an answer to that question. I'd love to hear your insight and what has worked for you in your lives because as moms I believe that we all need to support one another and give a smile when needed.

Disney World Magical Express Info and Tips

Oh how I as a mom tired from traveling with my 3 kids and husband, so really 4 kids, love landing in Orlando and going straight to the Magical Express to our resort. Do I need to wait at baggage claim form our luggage.... NOPE. Do I have to get a cart to lug all those suitcases..... NOPE. Do I have to worry if my transportation will be there..... NOPE again.

If you are staying on property at the Walt Disney World Resort then included is the Magical Express to and from the resort. Its beyond wonderful. When you book your vacation with a Disney Travel Agent, yourself or online all you need to do is enter your flight information and you will be sent tags to put on your checked luggage when you leave home and the next time you see them will be in your resort room. Our last trip was in December 2016 and I had a 4, 2 and 1 year old, not having to worry about our checked bags was a vacation within itself. Once you land in Orlando you go downstairs past baggage claim and use your magic bands to scan and get in the correct line for your bus. You board a comfortable bus with a cute show on the TV's about the resort and some cartoons and relax for the 45 minute ride. There is even a bathroom on the bus for the little ones who "really really have to go NOW"

My tips....

Pack a change of clothes and swimsuits in your carry on bag. Sometimes it can take a bit for your luggage to arrive at in your room and you don't want to miss out on park or pool time waiting for it.

Gate check your stroller so you have it with you ready to go. We have a double bob and we were able to gate check it in multiple airports without any problems.

Make sure you have your Magic Bands in your carry on. Those are your ticket onto the Magic Express along with your room key and tickets into the park.

Have plenty of snacks with you for hungry kiddos or lollipops for ears that need to be popped after the plane ride.

Relax and enjoy the ride.....

Best Greek Chicken Ever

So as some of you know I am trying to eat better and get into shape and loose a few pounds..... Its hard because I like to eat and drink.

I came up with this marinade and WOW is this chicken yummy, lets just say my 5 year old had 2 helpings and usually she lives on air.

Chicken Breasts trimmed and cut into 1 1/2 inch chunks
3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tablespoon Ken's Steakhouse Lite Cesar dressing
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tablespoon poultry seasonings

Mix to combine and stir in the chicken chunks so they are coated well. Let marinade at least 2 hours, my ideal time is about 4 hours. Skewer and grill or you can add a tablespoon of olive oil and a pad of butter to a hot pan and fry till golden brown then put on a sheet pan and bake at 375 till cooked through about 10-15 minutes. You will have the tastiest chicken EVER!!!!

Overnight Oats - Yummo

I can't believe that it has taken me this long to try overnight oats. Who would have thought how easy and delicious it can be. I am on this kick that I NEED to loose the baby weight (my baby is ummmm 22 months) and get in shape for myself and to look better and have my clothes fit better and all of the above. Problem is drive thru's are my friend. I am a busy mom of 3 and at this point only 1 is in school and has after school activities, next year I'm going to be a first class wreck with 2 in school and activities.

Back to my oats. I had some quick cook oats in the pantry from some cookies or something so I thought, lets give it a try and so happy I did! Here is my recipe, however its very loose and you can add things like chia seeds and flax seeds or use different kind of milk. Baby step for me over here and I used what I had and I already have to buy 2 kids of milk for my family, I am not going to add a 3rd kind to the mix.

1/2 cup quick cook oats
1/2 cup plus a little splash milk - Whatever you like almond, coconut, dairy free, etc
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup fruit - my favs are banana, blueberries, mango and strawberries

Add all ingredients to a mason jar put lid on and shake to combine. Let it sit in the fridge overnight and enjoy in the morning

I am happy to say that I actually eat this about 4 times a week because its there in the fridge ready to go and you know what they say "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day"

Road Trip Success with 3 Kids

We are off to Arizona for a long weekend to visit friends and meet up with some family that's escaping the cold of March in Chicago. I consider myself almost a pro when it comes to traveling with small children in the car due to the fact we have a trailer and have been road tripping with that since I was 8 months pregnant with my first little princess, I prefer flying and a nice hotel but my husband LOVES the trailer and so do my kids, annnnnnnnddddd I guess it has grown on me. Here I am getting off topic.

Keys to keeping the kids happy in the car.....

*Make their area comfy for them. I ensure that there are blankets and pillows to cuddle with when they get sleepy

*DVD's, Ipad, your choice of electronic device. We have family iPads and the time that is allowed playing on them is limited at home however in the car is a bit of a different story. I don't start out the ride with here's your iPad, however, it is there within my reach for the meltdown time that is bound to happen. I have a Chevy Suburban, that I LOVE and it has built in DVD players which is a huge lifesaver for any trip longer than a hour.

*New toys. The Target dollar section is your friend right before trips. I just grabbed some travel felt boards and some reusable Doc McStuffins stickers. The crayola mess free color wonder markers and books are wonderful too.

*Snacks and Drinks. We always have a small cooler with juice, water, coke(for mommy) and sliced apples, string cheese, uncrustables, etc. I also make a toddler/preschool friendly snack mix, chips, goldfish and so on. Pick your poison and make sure you pack extras cause if your kids are anything like mine they all of a sudden get "so starving" in the car.

*Try to leave at a time that works for your family. When we road trip we usually try to wake up eat breakfast and take our time getting ready to leave around 10am (after traffic, husband hates it) and then the kids are guaranteed to take nap about 1-2 hours into our drive.

*Plan to stop. Before kids my husband had the eye on the prize and it was hard to even convince home to stop so I could go potty but now he knows with 3 kids it just happens, someones gotta go potty or we need to change a diaper or something spilled.

My best advice to you is just to go with the flow. If your over prepared then it will hopefully be a piece of cake and you will have conquered the open road with the family. Other times the kids will cry and need a million things and ask a million and 1 times "are we there yet"
